* Band heaters will not fit the cylinders on Continental A-65 through 0-200 and 0-300 if there are lock nuts on the cylinder studs.  The bands will fit these cylinders if there are no lock nuts. Because the metal HotStrip element must bond to a flat surface, the oval oil sumps on these engines are heated with 3/8" x 12" 50w flexible silicone elements (two if HotPad or Turbo XP System, one if Standard System).

Band heaters will not fit the cylinders on Franklin engines.

Prices above are for 120 volt AC. For 220 v add 25%.

No sales tax is charged except for Wisconsin customers.

    Email orders are not encrypted, however many customers email us credit card numbers and we have never heard of a problem doing that.  If you are concerned about it you could reduce the risk by splitting the number and sending it in 2 separate emails.  Perhaps it may also help to avoid using the words "credit card", "Visa", and "Mastercard" - we do not need to know the card type.

  • Heater voltage required (120 or 220).  120 is assumed unless informed otherwise.
  • How do you want it shipped (UPS Ground, 3 Day, 2 Day, Next Day, or Mail)
  • Purchase Order number, if any.
  • Payment info: for Visa/MC we need the number and expiration date
  • Your email address if you want to receive UPS tracking information

   

• Lead time:  All items except engine covers are usually in stock for immediate shipping.  Covers ship about 3 weeks after ordering, except Rush orders.  Our daily UPS truck comes mid to late afternoon, so most orders received by noon will ship the same day you order.

• Tracking:  If you need to track your shipment, give us your email address when you order and UPS will send you tracking info.  If you call us later for tracking data it is more time consuming for us to obtain it, and we may not be able to respond quickly if we are busy getting orders out. 

• We do not sell or share any of your information with anyone.  However, the invoice is placed inside your box, so if it is being drop shipped and you do not want the receiver to see your invoice let us know and we will mail it separately. 

• We accept VISA and MASTERCARD, payment with order, or COD's. We do not accept American Express or Discover because their merchant fee is about twice as high as other cards and we would have to charge an extra 2-3% on those orders which they will not allow us to do.

• COD's permitted only on UPS shipments, with $9 UPS fee. Due to a few bad apples COD's are money order, cashier or certified checks only, except with prior approval. UPS does not accept cash for COD's.  If you want the invoice total in advance to get your COD payment ready, just ask.  If you order it COD and then refuse it you will be responsible for the UPS shipping and COD fees, plus 15% restocking fee.

• To simplify our business and keep our expenses and prices down, we regret we cannot give credit terms.

• To simplify our shipping process, which helps keep our expenses and prices down, UPS is our exclusive shipper.  We can also use US Mail at customer request, but that will delay shipment since we have to take those packages to the post office which is 10 miles away and we only make the trip once a week.  Due to past poor service we do not use Fed Ex or DHL.  Please do not ask us to use Fed Ex or DHL as we do not have an account with them or any of their shipping forms.

• Foreign orders: if you need a Form 8130-3 we must hire a DAR (FAA designated airworthiness representative) to provide this form.  This will delay shipment by up to 4 weeks and result in an extra charge of $150.   

• Returns:  Engine heating systems may be returned within 30 days of purchase date if accompanied by a copy of the invoice and a note explaining the reason for the return.  A 15% restock fee may be charged, and shipping charges will not be refunded.  Returns will not be accepted for any other items if opened.  If unopened these items may be returned within 30 days of purchase date if accompanied by a copy of the invoice and a note explaining the reason for the return.
