HotPad Oil Sump Heater

Continental A-65, A-75, A-80, C-85, C-90, O-200, IO-240

The small Continental engines use an egg shaped oil sump.  Our metal HotStrip oil sump heating element can't be used because it must be bonded to a flat surface.  On these engines we use a 3/8" x 12" 50 watt flexible heating element bonded to the oval oil tank. One or two are used depending on which system you select.

Because the oil quantity is about half that of larger engines, we use half the wattage. Temperature performance will be about the same.

HotPad epoxied to A65 oil sump Oil sump heating system includes two 50w elements, epoxy, power cord, and thermostat to limit oil to about 150oF.
