How to remove and reinstall the aluminum HotStrip oil sump heater:

Drive a putty knife or other thin blade under the heater to separate it from the surface. Keep the blade flat to the sump. Do not use a screwdriver or pry on the heater, if you bend it the resistance wire may break and ruin it. Clean off the old epoxy with epoxy stripper, available in most hardware stores (for example www.homedepot.com/p/Jasco-1-qt-Premium-Paint-and-Epoxy-Remover-QJBP00202/202247418 ). Then rebond it to the new engine following the HotStrip Oil Sump Heater instructions. Order epoxy from us or use JB-Weld high temp epoxy #8265.
