Motorcycle Engine Heater

Honda ST1300

Engine experts say up to 80% of the wear in your engine occurs during the first 2 minutes after starting.  Cold oil doesn't pump as well as warm oil, and bearing and other tolerances are not at operating dimensions until the engine warms up.  Preheating the oil means lubrication on start-up will be improved, thereby reducing wear and tear on your engine and extending its life.

Aircraft owners have known this for years.  We are the manufacturer of the world's leading electric preheating systems for aircraft engines, helping aircraft owners to extend the life of their expensive engines, which are often worth $30-40,000 or more.  Now motorcycle owners can get the same benefits.

This heater has been installed on our Honda ST1300 and Sabre 1100.  It will also fit any other motorcycle or engine (car, truck, ATV, boat, snowmobile, snowblower, etc) on which there is a suitable area on or near the oil pan to mount the 4" x 1.5" heater.  This surface can be either horizontal or vertical but must be flat and smooth (no ribs, etc.).

Installation is simple...

Clean and scuff the engine surface, mix the epoxy and spread it evenly on the heater, press heater onto the engine, tape heater down tightly with duct tape, and let it cure.  That's all there is to it.

100 WATT SYSTEM

A 100 watt thin metal strip heater is bonded with epoxy to the bottom of the engine.  To use the heater just plug it into 120V AC with the provided power cord for a few hours.

$125  includes 1 heater, harness, epoxy

200 WATT SYSTEM

With this kit you receive two 100 watt heating elements for faster heating and higher temperatures.  Put one on the oil pan and one on the block, or put both on the oil pan.  A thermostat limits the oil to about 150oF so it can't overheat.

$169  includes 2 heaters, thermostat, harness, epoxy
