1.5 Amp Fully Automatic Battery Charger/Maintainer

A lead acid battery loses about 1% of its charge each day of inactivity.  Combine that with the fact that cold temperatures reduce the battery's power by 60% or more - and you may have trouble starting your engine even though your preheater has the engine at summer-like temperature.

This neat little unit keeps 12 volt batteries safely charged because it is fully automatic - turning itself on and off as needed to prevent overcharging. Allows safe charging of most batteries that may have a long storage period. "On Board" feature allows mounting of charger next to battery on autos, boats, motor homes, ATV's, snowmobiles, motorcycles, lawn tractors, emergency generators or water pumps, and other infrequently used vehicles. Hardware and mounting brackets are included.

We have ours laying on the floor in the rear baggage area of our Cherokee 235 and keep it plugged in between flights so the battery is always fully charged.
